Soft rain, small pops and crackling of Mother Earth’s life. We are now in the season of winter and yet it feels like spring with daffodil shoots rising out of soft warm ground. Buds growing on the hydrangea and rhododendrons.
As humans, we often set our course in life based on certain events in nature. The natural impulses that underlie our responses minute by minute are a delicate balance of our inner and outer worlds. To find attunement with these two worlds it is vital to sink deep into our senses….listening, smelling, breathing in all around within and without. Taking time to notice the body standing on the sweet earth.
The season of holidays can draw us up in the rush of future planning while our bodies are reaching deep into mother earth and simultaneously caught in the whirl of mind places. Our natural senses tell us it is spring while our minds know it is not. Draw the multiple fields of mind, body and spirit into this place and time by taking a deep full breath, exhale, the body disolves and connects to earth and sky at once.
Happy Winter Season ♡
